Walter Brian Pittman

Walter Brian Pittman, 58, of Surry, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at his residence.  He was the son of Walter S. Pittman and Alice Johnson Pittman.  He is survived by his wife Roxanne Holt Pittman; daughter, Jessica P. Cunningham (Brad) son, Matt Pittman (Laura); step-daughters Sara Salisbury (P.J.), Lindsay Harrup (Josh); grandchildren, Colton, Dayton, Graycen and Layton; and his dog and best friend Massey. Brian was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnne Appel Pittman. Brian grew up farming with his father and son, he loved spending time in the fields and working on his Massey Ferguson tractors and especially continuing those traditions with his children and grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity find and fix up and old tractor, and was known all across the country for his restoration work.  He also enjoyed and was quite good at cooking. He served as the President of Farmers United in Surry.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. at his residence.  Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
