Michael Ray Thacker

Michael Ray Thacker, 68, passed away Tuesday February 4, 2025. He was the son of the late Shelton Lane Thacker and Anne Griffin Thacker. 

Michael is survived by his sister Sharon Thacker Carawan and nephew Justin Carawan. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Randy Thacker. 

Michael was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County where he farmed with his family. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. 

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 97, Smithfield VA, 23431 or Bethany United Methodist Church, 13717 Bethany Church Road, Smithfield, VA 23430.
