Mary S. McPartlan

Mary S. McPartlan, 92, of Smithfield passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in Sentara Careplex Hospital. Born in Dorchester, Mass, Mary was a homemaker and a past volunteer at the Smithfield Library. She was a strong supporter of Nature Conservancy Programs and public literacy programs. Previously she had taught ceramics classes and had a deep love and appreciation for classical music and James Michener Novels. She is survived by her sons Michael A Ricciardi, Louis M. Ricciardi wife Malina, John C. Ricciardi and David J. Ricciardi. Grandchildren Natalie Rose Ricciardi and Christopher Michael Ricciardi, a sister Pat Mongeon and a brother William Searles. She was preceded in death by two sisters Lillian and Dorothy, as well as three husbands Michael J. Ricciardi, Richard Downing and James P. McPartlan. The family will receive friends at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield on Sunday June 4 at 2 o’clock pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3pm with burial to follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
