Larry V. Odom

It is with sadness that the family of Larry V. Odom of Smithfield, Va. announce his passing on September 29, 2024. A New Madrid, Mo. native and graduate of Christopher Newport University, Larry was a resident of the Hampton Roads area for over 50 years. He retired from the City of Newport News, Va. He was honorably discharged from the USAF. He enjoyed time with his family, traveling, car shows, and spending time at the Outer Banks of N.C. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Smithfield Ruritan Club and served on numerous fund raising, and civic committees.

He was predeceased by his son Ryan, parents Vaughn and Ada Odom and brother John L. Odom. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Marsha McClelland Odom, son Justin L. Odom (Vicky), grandson Andrew J. Odom, sister-in-law Ann Odom, niece Samantha Patterson, nephew Christopher Odom, Aunt Helen Beaher, Uncle Donald Moren, and numerous wonderful cousins.

Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist, Smithfield, on Friday October 4, 2024, 11 a.m. and burial will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
