Jeffery Chad Ayer

Jeffery Chad Ayer, 36, of Smithfield was God’s gift of love born, on September 17, 1980 went to God’s Loving arms on June 2, 2017. Jeffery was Baptist by faith. He was a fun loving, kind-hearted soul. He loved fishing, camping, kayaking, in-line speed skating, building things out of wood and drawing. He was a collector of handguns, swords and knives and loved sharing his journey through life with his best friend fur-baby pit-bull Deuce. He is predeceased by his grandfather’s Oscar Brim, Marvin Estes and Rusty Ayer and a cousin Danielle Ayer. He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Katherine Ayer, his brother Joshua Ayer, and grandparents Opal Brim, Frances Estes, Beverly and Neil Hurd, Joanie Ayer. Aunts and Uncles, Edward and Deborah Holmes, Wanda Brim, Charles and Pam Estes, Larry and Gayle Pratt, Bobby Ayer and Laura, Chris and Ellen Ayer, Brian Ayer, Ryan Hurd and Tessa, Erin Maloney, Megan and Gary Shaffer, Scott and Christine Hurd, Wanda Moses and Mike Hurd. Cousins Ian and Justin Brim, Jeremiah Ingle, Desiree Holmes, Eric Holmes, Kemp Estes, Kyle and Kayla Center, Jessica and Michael Pullman, Lindsay and Russell Erickson, Sean Ayer and family, Little Bobby Ayer and family, Zach and Marguetta Eaton and family, Kaitlyn and Zach and family, Collin Maloney, Kasie Maloney, Freddie, Alex Unger, Greg (G-man) Unger, Shawn Shaffer, Gabby Shaffer, Cody, Ashley, Hanna, Hailey and Jake. Also survived by Ricky Estes. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 8, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA. A celebration of Christian life service will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 in Parkview Baptist Church, 604 Hilton Blvd, Newport News, VA at 4 o’clock p.m., with the Pastor Rusty Beck officiating.
