Ellen Oris Holland Gauthier

Ellen Oris Holland Gauthier, 96, of Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Richard Holland and Ella Higgins Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Joseph Gauthier. Mrs. Gauthier is survived by her daughter, Marian Elizabeth Gauthier; son, Stephen Joseph Gauthier; grandchildren, Nathan, Christina, Morgan and Joseph; and great grandchildren, Kylie, Emmitt, Lance and Phillip. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Kathleen T. Gauthier and Teresa M. Gauthier.

Mrs. Gauthier as a Naval military spouse traveled and worked, first at the Naval War College in Rhode Island, and then at Fort Lee in Petersburg, VA. Following Mr. Gauthier’s retirement, they returned to Isle of Wight County where she worked in Social Services in Isle of Wight County. She was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Smithfield. 

A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 2 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made the Church of the Good Shepherd, 300 Smithfield Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430.
