Donald Joseph Smutny

Donald Joseph Smutny, 70, of Smithfield, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was the son of the late Charles Joseph Smutny and Alice Mary Wirthman Smutny. He is survived by his wife Mun Chong Smutny; and a brother, Robert Michael Smutny (Laura). Mr. Smutny retired from the U S Air Force with 25 years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed being a HAM Radio Operator and was part of the American Radio Relay. He was a charter member of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, 10 a.m. at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 at Harvest Fellowship, 19290 Battery Park Rd, Smithfield, VA.
