Danny Carl Flanary, Sr.

Danny Carl Flanary Sr, USN RMCS Ret, 70 of Smithfield, VA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. He was the son of the late Bobby Eugene Flanary and Bobbie Jean Lay Flanary. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Lynn Parker Flanary; daughter, Jessica Lynn Parrett (Joseph William); son, Danny Carl Flanary, Jr (Alyssa Nicole); grandchildren, Christian A. Mitchell, Bishop A. Mitchell, Jackson W. Parrett and Riley Marie Flanary; sister, Barbara Jean Sause (Mark); brothers, James Lealand Flanary, AK1 USN (retired) his wife Terrie Anna, and Michael A. Flanary; sister-in-law, Shelley Flanary. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Barney Eugeny Flanary.

He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 9 a.m. All attendees must be present in the Administration parking area no later than 8:15.
