Betty Baker Sharpley

Betty Baker Sharpley, of Smithfield passed away peacefully, with her loving husband of 55 years, Skip, by her side. Betty was the daughter of the late William Cecil Baker and Della Williams Baker of Pocomoke City, Maryland. She is survived by her husband Skip and one son Eldon D. “Kip” Sharpley, III. Betty was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 49 Auxiliary and member of the Eastern Star. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, PO Box 211, Smithfield, VA 23431 or the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.
