Amanda Violet Ferguson, 33, of Smithfield passed away on June 11, 2022. She was the daughter of Timothy Lee Ferguson and Delores Mae Adams Ferguson. Amanda is survived by her daughter, Abigail Lynn Neely; sisters, Ashley, Katie and Elizabeth Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Jaxsen, Sophia and Anthony, Jr.; and her maternal grandmother, Nellie Mae Adams. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward Evan Adams and her paternal grandparents, Ernest Lee Ferguson and Gloria Mae Ferguson. An amazing mother, Amanda took pride in raising her daughter Abigail. Her world was centered around family; taking on her role as a daughter, sister, and aunt as her life’s purpose. Amanda loved all things outdoors and was an animal lover at heart. Her favorite pastimes were gardening with her Mom, hunting and fishing with her Dad, and spending time at the beach with her sisters. Her love for laughter was contagious. There was not a moment in life she did not live to the fullest. She was an avid fan of true crime and of Law and Order SVU. Amanda meant so much to so many and will forever be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, 6 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation be made to https://gofund.me/31f25185, to establish an education fund for Abigail. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
